Hey, guys. It's Jamie Bateman here. Welcome back to from adversity to abundance. Today's episode is gonna be a little bit different. It's just me, no guest, no long form interview, no comeback story. Instead, I wanna share something real and a bit vulnerable with you all. I've decided to hit pause on the podcast and take a break for at least this summer. Not forever, not goodbye, but a needed breather. And I wanted to tell you exactly why and how you can help us come back stronger than ever. To be honest, the podcast means a lot to me. It's meant a lot to me over the last three years that we've been doing this show. I've been podcasting for almost five years now and doing the from adversity to abundance show for, over three years. We've put out over a hundred and seventy episodes, and, you know, jam packed with inspiring powerful stories for sure. I've I've learned a lot myself, and I hope I'm hoping you all have been inspired and and experienced some practical value as well. We've talked to people who've overcome addiction, trauma, bankruptcy, personal loss, you name it. And to come out on the other side stronger, more focused, and more fulfilled. But now I'm finding myself needing to live out the mission of the show in a in a personal way. First off, my daughter is heading to college this fall. And as a dad, I wanna soak up every minute of the summer with her as much as possible, before she leaves the nest. And I know that time is precious, and this window is closing fast. Also, my my son has some challenges. I've spoken somewhat on some other podcasts as well as my own about some of that. And, so that requires a lot of my attention as well. And I'm hoping he, continues to improve. And thirdly, without going into too much detail, I've recently been navigating some more personal adversity of my own. And I believe there's growth and wisdom on the other side. But for now, I I need to do a little more inner work and just kind of, take a break from podcasting, to be honest with you. Finally, my team and I at Labrador Lending have some serious momentum in our core businesses, which are really are the two things that we the we offer that we, how we serve both the passive and active mortgage note and real estate investor. And that is our integrity income fund, which is for accredited passive investors and our note investing mentorship program. And to truly serve these clients well, we need to stay focused and aligned with our our highest value work. So I'm excited to really continue to build on the momentum with that we've been gaining over the last, I'd say, year or so. And, here's something else I wanna say honestly. Some sometimes I wonder, are these episodes actually making an impact? I hope they are. Are they being heard? Are they helping real people navigate real life struggles, or are they just floating out into the podcast ether? I have heard in the last few weeks from a couple of you, about how inspiring and and, you know, impactful the episodes have been. I'd love to hear more. It is one of the challenges that is inherent in the podcasting space. It it's a one to many platform, so I'm I'm speaking to many people. And I don't always hear much back, to be honest with you, and that's not a not a a plea for you to feel sorry for me, but it is it's nice to hear something back that that you enjoyed the show that or even if it's a constructive criticism, it's always nice to hear, some fee receive some feedback. So, without further ado, here are some some ways that you all can help us come back stronger than ever. And, hopefully, that happens in in this fall, this coming fall of twenty twenty five. But here are five ways you all can help, and maybe you can pick just one or two of these that you can, implement to help us come back stronger than ever. Number one is catch up on pod past episodes. There's a wealth of powerful stories in the archives, ones you may have missed or could use hearing again. I know I go back and listen to old episodes, and there's so so many timeless principles in them. And, I'd recommend you do the same. Secondly, leave us a rating or review. You can do this on Apple Podcasts, on Spotify, or on our podcast website adversity two abundance dot com. That's the number two. Whichever platform you listen on that they typically give you the ability to leave a rating or and or review. And that really does make a huge difference for us, and it helps us rise up the ranks. There are four million plus podcasts out there, so it's a lot of it's very it's a very competitive space. And so if we can get more ratings and reviews from you all, that does help quite a bit. Thirdly, just share an episode with a friend or family member. You know, take a minute or, you know, half a minute to hit that share button, text somebody the episode that you just listened to or or one that you think they may benefit from, and just share it. And that really helps, increase our our podcast numbers, meaning the download numbers and the listens. We we usually track downloads and unique listeners. And so if you're able to share a pod a a particular episode of the from adversity to abundance podcast with a friend, that goes a really long way in helping us create a bigger impact, for people. Fourth, buy the book. I put out the from adversity to abundance book, which is available on Amazon. It's it's pretty inexpensive. There's both the ebook, digital version as well as the paperback version. It's a pretty quick read, and there are eleven super impactful stories in that in that book. Buy a few copies for for friends. I promise the book will resonate deeply with you if you enjoy this this show. And then fifth, send us great guest recommendations. You can email me at bateman james at labrador lending dot com. If you know someone who has a powerful story, we are trying to keep the show focused on real estate investing and mental fitness. Sometimes we do wander off a little bit away from that, those two, concepts. But, the show really is for active and passive real estate and mortgage note investors, but we wanna bring in that and keep that human element so that we can continue to provide inspiration as well as practical value. So if you think you have if you can think of someone who you know or you've heard on another show, who might make a an excellent guest, send them our way. Have them apply, via our website as well, adversity to abundance dot com. You can apply to be a guest on our show, and they we have a form and a few questions for you to answer. We're always looking for authentic, raw, and inspiring voices. And, again, bonus one more way, a bonus way that you can help us is go to labrador lending dot com and see if, there are any of the course our core services that you may benefit from. We actually offer seven core services, two of which I've already four of which I've already mentioned, the podcast itself, the book. Thirdly is, integrity income fund. The fourth way is our mentorship program, which is for active mortgage note investors or those who wanna learn about mortgage note investing. And there are three other, ancillary ways, services that we provide. So check out labrador lending dot com. And, again, I just wanna reiterate, this isn't the end. It's just a pause. We plan to be back this fall stronger than ever with fresh energy, new stories, and maybe even some surprises. In the meantime, I wanna thank you for walking this journey with me. Your support means more than you know. Stay well, stay strong, and remember, adversity doesn't get the last word. Abundance does. Talk soon.
